IGDA Seattle and Amazon.com Present: Industry Pioneer Al Lowe’s Leisure Time!

Oct 7th, 2013 by Matthew Burns

 Al

Join Al Lowe this Wednesday for a lighthearted evening with a long view of our industry and where it’s been, crowdfunding, and the joys of being paid to do what you’d do for free. (But don’t tell anybody!)

Al Lowe

Al Lowe entered the video game industry over three decades ago, working for Sierra Online during its glory years of the 80s and 90s. He served in many facets of game creation but is best known for creating Freddy PharkasFrontier PharmacistTorin’s Passage, and Leisure Suit Larry. In 2012, he headed a Kickstarter campaign to bring LSL1: Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards back for modern platforms. Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded was the first of the major Kickstarter projects to actually deliver, releasing its game (and its rewards!) this past July.
