December 2019 Update

Dec 3rd, 2019 by Tim Cullings

Hello Indies!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Are you ready for a snowy Christmas 🎄 ? We sure are, and hope to see you at our annual Holiday Party on the 8th 🙂 But first, let’s recap…

November Recap

The 3rd annual Seattle Indies Game Jam concluded on the weekend of November 8th-10th at the Pacific Science Center! The theme was “intentionally broken” and you can check out all the cool and crazy games on the Itch.io Page Here

Seattle XR also hosted its first Unconference, a “…semi-structured alternative to traditional conferences that are attendee-driven and support much more diverse topics and sessions.” If you missed it this year, they hope to host it on an annual basis. You can find the event info and follow Seattle XR right here

Local Game Releases

The mind-bending first person puzzler and SIX 2017 nominee Superliminal launched on PC! “Explore a surreal dream world and solve impossible puzzles using the ambiguity of depth and perspective.” Check it out right here on the Epic Store.

Galvanic Games also launched Some Distant Memory on the Steam and Nintendo Switch! “A hand-drawn story exploration game set 300 years after the apocalypse. You play an archaeologist named Professor Zay, joined by her companion, ARORA, a centuries-old AI capable of recreating human memories from scanned relics.” Here’s a Steam Link.

Upcoming Events

The annual Seattle Indies Holiday Party will take place on December. 8 from 7pm to 11pm! If you attended last year, note that we have a new cool location – Living Computers: Museum + Labs! There will be board games, photo booths, karaoke room and more! If you haven’t already register here. Also note that the Holiday Party takes the place of the monthly Social so there is no December Seattle Indies Social. Join us at the Holiday Party and celebrate the year that was and get ready for what’s to come in 2020 at the can’t miss party of the year.  🎉🎉🎅🎅🎮🎮🎲🎲🎄🎄🍻🍸❄️❄️
