Ready to Jam!?
As you’ve hopefully heard (and signed up!), we hosted the Seattle Indies Game Jam from Nov 2nd to 4th! The theme suggestions this year were submitted by all of you amazing supporters! We had over 100 devs create 23 games this year! Come join us at the quarterly Show & Tell to check out the jam showcase or to share your work-in-progress with the public for feedback.
Speaking of jams, we also concluded the Anti Defamation League Game Jam just two weeks ago. The goal was to fight hate and build empathy using games, with direct impact on the research study headed by Dr. Karen Schrier. Some of the finished titles will be on display at the ADL’s National Leadership Summit in Washington D.C. in May 2019.
Lastly, we’d like to mention the launch of Seattle Artists Workshops for all ages and skill levels. The workshops include: acrylic, oils, watercolors, alcohol inks, multimedia, traditional sculpting, 3d sculpting, photoshop, graphics, fashion, photography modeling & shoots art direction, day trips & ecology study. Just join the facebook group.
And that’s it for this monthly update. Don’t forget the Holiday Party coming up on December 9th! If you haven’t already, join our Discord to chat with fellow devs, and let us know about any projects you’re working on that you’d like shared on our Steam or Itch collections or tweeted about from @SeattleIndies!
