Seattle Indies Holiday Party

With over 150 attendees, the Seattle Indies hosted our second Holiday Party this year! Masterminded by Thomas O’Connor, our annual holiday party is a night of festive drinks and merry-making open to all in the community, but especially created for indie devs who might not have company parties of their own to celebrate with friends and colleagues. It was hosted this year at the Factory Luxe in the Old Rainier Brewery, which, in addition to the (optional) fancy dress that many people sported, added an extra touch of class to our usual indie crowd.

In addition to the overflowing food and drinks (generously donated by our sponsors), the festivities included a backroom where people could play roisterous party and board games, a game key gift exchange under a Christmas tree, and a large projector screen showcasing local indie games that was also livestreamed throughout the night.

You can check out the album of photos on Facebook here.

An extra announcement was made during the event in the middle of the night: Seattle Indies is now a registered 501(c)3 charity! Being an official non-profit organization will open up new opportunities for us in terms of partnerships and donors, and we can’t wait to work even harder to give back to the community!

Thanks to our Holiday Sponsors

Last but not least: an extra special shout-out and thank you to our sponsors for the event: PlayEveryWare, SXSW Gaming, Devolver Digital, Living Computer Museum, Dropleaf, TinyBuild, Hashbang Games, Stumbling Cat, Playfab, Tom O’Connor, Tim Cullings, and Chris Floyd. The generosity of our donors make it possible for us throw events where the community can come together, and share the joy of making games!
